Daily Musings—Part 2 Feeling Mean For Sticking To Set Boundaries, But You Know It's Not

The phone rings or a text comes through, and it's from a person that you have definitely set boundaries with. A known manipulator, but you choose not to answer it or even call back. Then there is that feeling, however big or small, that feels like maybe you should return the call because it's wrong to ignore someone.
But you know that the call is loaded and will be full of demonic warfare that can definitely be avoided. But how can you fight that little feeling that, ewww, I'm probably being mean?
Let's first define "mean." According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, it means lacking dignity or honor. So ask yourself, are you lacking dignity or honor by protecting your peace and guarding your heart? The answer is no. Our motive for boundaries is not to be so-called "mean" or cruel. We are actually encouraged to do so in the Word of Yah. Going back to guarding, Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life." (NKJV)
We have a right to be selective and discerning, to choose whom we give an audience to, a listening ear. To go even further, we must apply the same mindset towards the conversations we choose to have, what we view with our eyes, and the actions we take with our bodies. We are temples of the Ruach Ha'Quodesh. And when you discern or already know by repetitive behavior that someone is simply a child of the devil who is on assignment to derail your destiny, you must not willingly walk in their path. If possible, avoid it; flee from evil. That is also how we can seek and pursue peace by shutting down unnecessary altercations altogether.
Sometimes, we are placed in situations, such as work or public places, where the enemy may try to force an interaction. But the Word already covers that by stating we should not quarrel and give soft answers that turn away wrath. Simply put, don't take the bait, remain in your peace, and keep it pushing. But for personal spaces that involve your home and your personal lines of communication, happily set and enforce your boundaries against the vessels of dishonor who choose to be bone carriers, energy vampires, or straight narcissists.
You belong to Yah, and you have authority. Use it without apology. And choosing not to engage is never mean; it's actually extremely kind. Because many of these demonic people really don't understand that at any time you choose to get in the flesh and hook up with that "old man" for the one time, some of us would probably be unpacking Vaseline, sneakers, and weapons and acting a straight fool because that thing has been lying dormant for so long. (I hope you laughed.) Seriously, keep pursuing Mashiac and peace. Never allow your own thoughts or the enemy in any form to make you feel bad about yourself. You are doing great. Keep living in love.
